





Richard J. Martin, M.D., D.M.D. is a graduate of Bowdoin College (A.B., 1987), the University of Connecticut School of Medicine (M.D., 1995) and the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (D.M.D., 1992). Dr. Martin completed residency training in both general surgery, and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Following his graduate studies at University of Connecticut, he finished a fellowship in general cosmetic surgery in Seattle, WA.
Dr. Martin currently holds a faculty position, clinical instructor, at both the University of Connecticut Health Center and Hartford Hospital. He also holds an active staff position at the William H. Backus Hospital, in the departments of plastic and maxillofacial surgery.
He has published in National scientific journals, and has given research and lecture presentations on various cosmetic & maxillofacial topics.
Dr. Martin is a Board Certified Cosmetic and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is a committee member for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, a member of the American Medical Association, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
